Using a water blaster to clean the floor

My son is a landscaper by trade and has just bought himself a high pressure water blaster to use for cleaning paving. It occurred to me that it might be useful to use to clean up the Allison 189 after a good day out fishing, particularly the floor. Am I likely to do the boat any harm using this method judiciously?

I don't see why you can't use a power washer.
I'll have a go with mine - especially on the inside - a few squid and it's a mess.

I would be careful around any seals / batteries and the usual suspects :-)

Re: Using a water blaster to clean the floor

Go and buy a 5 litre bottle of sodium hyperchlorite / pool chlor / bleach ,  call it what you want , will cost you around $15.
Just make sure it is the full strength 10% active , then dilute it yourself as required.
I mix 250 ml of it and water at a time, eg 500 mls  , broom it on , leave for a couple of minutes then rinse off , this it is more than enough to clean the floor on a 244 , brings it up spotless.
Also makes a good sanitiser / odour remover , kills off that left over fishy smell.
Make sure you keep the 5 litre bottle in a cool shady spot , time and heat reduce it's performance.
